The VWSK Participates in the 2003 Annual Conference of the English Language and Literature Association of Korea
The Virginia Woolf Society of Korea first became publicly known during the Annual Conference of the English Language and Literature Association of Korea held in Onyang, Korea January 23-25, 2003. Young-Joo Kim’s “Virginia Woolf and Little Englandism,” and Sun-Ok Bak’s “To the Lighthouse at the Distance of Time and Space,” and Jung Kim’s “Stolen Writing or Literary Symbiosis: Mrs. Dalloway and The Hours” were presented during the first session on January 25, 2003. There was a lively discussion on the current status of Virginia Woolf studies in Korea during the second session following the presentation of Hee-Jin Park’s “Receptions and Prospects of Virginia Woolf” and Myung-Hee Chung’s “Issues of Virginia Woolf Studies.”
