Joint Conference with the Virginia Woolf Society of Japan Proposed
The friendship between the Virginia Woolf Society of Japan and the VWSK goes back to the time when professor Hee-Jin Park met the members of the VWSJ at the Seventh International Virginia Woolf Studies Conference in Plymouth, USA in June 1997. Keiko Izubuchi, the President of the VWSJ, sent a message of congratulations on the foundation of the Virginia Woolf Society of Korea. Myung-Hee Chung, the President of the VWSK, recently met the President and members of the VWSJ during her visit to Japan in July 2003. A collaborative conference of the Virginia Woolf Societies of Japan and of Korea was proposed at the meeting. The joint conference is planned for spring, 2005.
